Ethiopia Sidamo Washed

Ethiopia Sidamo Washed

Cultivar Coffee Roasting Co.

About This Coffee

This washed coffee from Sidama, Ethiopia is produced by Alo Coffee at Alo Village in Bensa, Sidama region. Grown at 2,400-2,550 meters altitude, the coffee uses the 74158 (Walega) variety developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center. After harvest, cherries are de-pulped and washed immediately using a mechanical washer, skipping traditional fermentation to preserve cup clarity. The parchment is then dried on African drying beds over 12 days. The result is a complex and clean cup with lemonade-like acidity, black tea notes, and dried fruit (prune) characteristics, creating a vibrant and dynamic flavor profile.
