Single-origin Ethiopian coffee from the Guji region's Uraga subregion, sourced from Welichu Wachu washing station operated by Dagne Chomen. Natural/sun-dried processed beans feature piquant floral notes with bright, complex acidity reminiscent of lime and bergamot, complemented by stone fruit sweetness like ripe peach. The coffee exhibits a scallion-like character when fresh that develops into complex floral notes upon arrival.
Ikon Roastery was founded in 2016 by Marcel Costas in South San Francisco, California, after a transcendent coffee experience in 2011 set him on a new path. Costas runs the company alongside co founder and Director of Operations Alex Le as a family business. The roastery produces medium bodied, sweet, juicy profiles and rotates its specialty offerings every ninety days to keep the lineup fresh. Ikon holds California Green Certification for its environmental practices and partners directly with producers who prioritize sustainable farming and fair labor.
