This natural-processed coffee from the Gedeb district of Ethiopia is grown by Tigist, a young woman farmer on her 5-acre family farm. The high altitude and cool temperatures combined with rich loamy soil create a sweetness-forward cup. Cherries are carefully hand-picked, meticulously inspected for ripeness, washed, and dried on raised beds for 10–20 days. The coffee is exported through Ephtah Specialty Coffee, an all-women-led exporter founded to empower women across the supply chain.
Founded in the early 1980s in a restored farmhouse located 25 miles from Glacier National Park near the Continental Divide, Montana Coffee Traders has roasted arabica coffees for more than 40 years. Operating multiple cafés throughout the region while maintaining a roastery equipped with Loring and Sivitz equipment, the company has built its reputation on consistency and quality in one of America's most distinctive coffee roasting locations. The roastery's vintage farmhouse setting and proximity to pristine wilderness embody a roasting philosophy deeply connected to place.
