This coffee is from Ratnagiri Estate in the Bababudangiri hills of India's Western Ghats, the birthplace of Indian coffee. The estate has been in the Patre family since the 1920s and holds Rainforest Alliance certification. This is a Hemavathi varietal processed using 96-hour yeast fermentation with natural processing. Grown at 1350 meters altitude, it presents flavors of orange, caramel, and marzipan with tropical sweetness and candy-like brightness.
Dark Arts Coffee is a London-based roastery known for its rebellious spirit, occult-inspired branding, and a serious passion for great coffee. They take a "no-nonsense" approach, sourcing high-quality beans and roasting them to perfection. Their philosophy is to make "hellishly good coffee" without the pretension, often collaborating with artists and musicians.
