Gerse Yirgacheffe is a single origin coffee from Ethiopia, grown in the Yirgacheffe region at 1900-2200 meters altitude by Smallholder Farms. This coffee undergoes a unique Washed Cascara Infused Process, where cascara parchment from natural lots is infused during fermentation, similar to tea infusion, creating a lighter fermentation interaction. After fermentation, the coffee is washed and undergoes drip drying for 6-10 hours before sun drying. The coffee features Heirloom and Other Landrace Varieties, delivering tasting notes of watermelon, raspberry, and pear with general sweetness of melon or honey. It is described as unique, beautiful and sparkly, excellent over ice or as cold brew.
