About This Coffee

This coffee is a blend featuring malolactic fermented beans from Huay Nam Khun, Chiang Rai, Thailand. Grown at an altitude of 1200-1400 meters, the coffee undergoes a unique process involving washed processing and malolactic honey fermentation with mucilage intact, followed by sun-drying and a final finish in a sub-zero freezer. Left Hand Roasters

Left Hand Roasters was founded in 2018 as a social impact coffee brand working directly with 15 farms across five provinces of Northern Thailand. The company's origin traces to 2005, when founder Dustin Joseph was gifted green beans by a Lisu village farmer in Mae Hong Son, sparking a long relationship with Thai coffee growing communities. Left Hand sources from farmers who practice organic methods and regenerative agriculture, and maintains full transparency on pricing, tracing each coffee back to the specific farmer and the amount they were paid. Beyond traditional roasted coffee, the company produces byproducts like coffee blossom and cascara, extending value across the entire harvest. It is a roaster built on the premise that Thai specialty coffee deserves a place alongside the world's more recognized origins.
