GRANITA - RWANDA - WOMEN'S COOPERATIVE

1998 Coffee

About This Coffee

This coffee is from the Abahuzamugambi Women's Cooperative in Rwanda's Ngororero District. Grown at 1616 meters above sea level in fertile volcanic soils, the coffee features Bourbon Mayaguez 139 and RAB C15 varieties. The cherries are handpicked, float-sorted, pulped, fermented, and fully washed before being dried slowly on raised beds. About 50 trained women lead crucial stages including sorting, grading, and quality control. The coffee exhibits distinct clean acidity with notes of red currant, dark chocolate ice cream, and blood orange, with an icy lingering mouthfeel. Harvested in 2025, each lot is consistent and fully traceable.
