Café Kreyol

Café Kreyol was founded in January 2012 when its founder travelled from Northern Virginia to Haiti to scout coffee growing regions, starting with 200 producers and growing the supply chain to 2,800 people by 2024. The roastery operates a Loring S70 Peregrine from a 10,000 square foot facility in Manassas, Virginia that includes a production roastery, green coffee warehouse, cupping lab, and classrooms. All coffees are USDA Organic certified, sourced through direct trade partnerships with Haitian producers including COOPACVOD, Haiti's oldest running cooperative with over 850 members. The company pays farmers up to 300% above Fair Trade minimums and invests over $1 million annually in Haiti. Café Kreyol won Roast Magazine's 2023 Roaster of the Year award in the macro category, and the business has more than doubled in size since.
