Gang & Gäbe
Gang & Gäbe was founded in November 2015 by Andreas Postrach in Munich, inspired by his time working with a coffee cooperative in Ecuador. The name borrows the German idiom "gang und gäbe," meaning commonplace, a nod to the relaxed atmosphere Postrach set out to create around quality coffee. All beans are roasted in house on a Giesen roaster using slow, gentle profiles developed to preserve the delicate aromas of each origin. Green coffee is sourced through direct trade partners Quijote Kaffee and Flying Roasters (Roasters United), connecting the roastery to cooperatives in Ethiopia, Ecuador, and Guatemala without intermediaries. Transparency and fair compensation for producers sit at the center of the operation, alongside a broader commitment to sustainability and conscious consumption.
