About This Coffee

This single-origin coffee from Guatemala's Huehuetenango region is grown on El Divino Niño farm at 1,300 meters altitude by Don Mauricio Perez Bravo. The coffee is mostly Catimor variety, a hybrid valued for leaf rust resistance. After pulping, the beans undergo 30-hour fermentation followed by washing and drying on cement patios. The coffee displays well-balanced sweetness with bright fruited notes including red apple, peach, and caramel, complemented by mulling spice and almond undertones. Medium roast with malic acidity and medium body.

Lily & Willy's Coffee Co. is a family run specialty roaster founded in late 2022 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, named after the founders' children. The company roasts fresh for every order rather than building up inventory, sourcing premium single origin beans from Kenya, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru, Ethiopia, Guatemala, India, and El Salvador. The operation is deliberately small scale, with recent expansion into a local retail shelf at Shores Meat Shoppe marking a first step beyond direct to consumer online sales. The founders built the business with a long term vision of eventually opening their own café.
