This coffee is from La Hermosa farm in the Acatenango valley, Chimaltenango, Guatemala, cultivated by Max Perez. The farm sits on the slopes of Volcán de Acatenango at altitudes of 1900 to 2100 meters above sea level. The washed processed coffee is USDA organic certified. La Hermosa has won international awards including 14th place in the 2022 Cup of Excellence with a natural Gesha. The farm grows multiple varieties including Bourbon, Yellow Bourbon, Caturra, Catuaí, Typica, Pacamara, and Gesha. Shade trees (Chalum and Gravilea) and fruit trees are planted throughout the farm.
