Guatemala Microlot Los Pinos by Elmer Lopez

Guatemala Microlot Los Pinos by Elmer Lopez

About This Coffee

This Pacamara microlot is grown at Finca Los Pinos in Santa Bárbara, Huehuetenango, Guatemala at 1,800-2,250 meters elevation. Managed by Elmer Lopez as part of the Vides 58 family group, the farm spans approximately 24 hectares with around 57,000 coffee trees. The coffee grows in iron-rich volcanic soil shaded by pine, chalum, and Inga trees. This natural processed coffee undergoes shaded dry fermentation for 24-36 hours, followed by wet fermentation for 15-30 hours, then patio drying for 16-17 days. The result is a vibrant cup with notes of pralines, cocoa, cooked pineapple, sweet lime, green grape, and soft florals, featuring a silky medium body and bright, wine-like acidity.

Stockholm Coffee Roasters

Despite the Scandinavian name, Stockholm Coffee Roasters is actually based in Germany, bringing a distinctly Nordic approach to specialty coffee roasting. Their philosophy draws heavily on the Scandinavian tradition of light, clean roasting that puts origin flavors front and center — think bright acidity, delicate florals, and fruity sweetness rather than heavy roast character. They source high-quality specialty-grade beans and roast in small batches to maintain precision and consistency. Their range includes carefully selected single origins and thoughtful blends designed for both filter and espresso brewing. For German coffee drinkers drawn to the lighter end of the roast spectrum and Scandinavian coffee culture, they offer a compelling alternative to the darker German tradition.
