This coffee is sourced from the Hacienda La Papaya farm in the San Lorenzo region of Saraguro, Loja, Ecuador. Grown at an altitude of up to 2100 meters, this Typica variety coffee is processed using the washed method. It offers a distinct flavor profile featuring notes of apricot, lemon bar, and miso caramel.
Evan Inatome and his brother in law Winston Justice, a former Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle, founded Elixr Coffee in 2010 on Walnut Street in Center City Philadelphia. The roastery now operates seven locations across Philadelphia, State College, Nashville, and Philadelphia International Airport's Terminal B. Elixr specializes in lighter roasted coffees with a focus on sourcing quality, and holds Fair Trade and Organic certifications. The team's competitive record includes a second place finish at the 2018 U.S. Barista Championship and multiple top ten finishes at U.S. Roasting Championship events.
