Hero's Signature Blend is an organic medium roast coffee crafted by Blind Dog Coffee. This blend features flavor notes of cherry, Bavarian cream, mocha, and brown sugar, with aromatics of sweet cocoa, roasted nuts, and caramelized sugar. The coffee has a smooth, medium-full body with low-balanced acidity. It is made from 100% Arabica coffee beans and is certified mold-free. The blend is versatile and suitable for drip, French press, pour-over, or espresso brewing methods.
Blind Dog Coffee was founded in 2007 by Mark Berry in Gardnerville, Nevada. Mark developed cancer as a young child that ultimately threatened his eyesight, and by age 49 he became legally blind, ending a 30 year career and prompting him to learn professional coffee roasting. The roastery uses 100% USDA Certified Organic beans with a GMO free, no additives guarantee, and sources ethically in support of fair labour practices. A portion of all proceeds goes to the Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation, reflecting Mark's personal connection to childhood cancer. The business operates a roastery headquarters in Gardnerville alongside a coffee shop and café in nearby Minden.
