This juicy, tropical-fruit laden coffee comes from producer Anibal Chavez in Honduras. Strawberry gummy, papaya and ripe mango fill the cup, with a rich, sugary toffee sweetness. Balanced and rich, this coffee is suitable for both drip and espresso. Anibal learned coffee production from his father and received his own farm at age 18. After leaving conventional coffee farming in 2008 due to low prices, he returned to specialty coffee five years ago and has been preparing specialty micro-lots since 2017.
Case Coffee Roasters was founded in 2006 by Kati and Tim Case in Ashland, Oregon. The team roasts on a Diedrich IR 7 with a focus on light to medium profiles, using compostable packaging throughout. Sourcing follows a direct trade and relationship based model with an emphasis on sustainability, and USDA Organic certified coffees feature in the range. The café on Fourth Street serves espresso, pour over, and pastries from local bakeries, and the business supports nonprofits and arts organisations in the Ashland community through regular partnerships.
