Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.

About This Coffee

This single producer lot from Finca El Guayabal in the El Cedral village in Santa Bárbara, Honduras is a delicious cup. Balanced, juicy acidity reminiscent of peach, a hint of baking spice in the finish, and a heavy body that gives yogurt vibes. This coffee is 100% Pacas variety, washed processed. The cherries are de-pulped each afternoon, dry fermented for 15 hours, rinsed three times, hand-sorted on raised beds, and dried in parabolic solar dryers for around 20 days.

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. has been roasting in Milwaukee since 1999, with its primary operation at a Walker's Point roastery that holds organic certification. The team roasts on two Loring S35 Kestrel Smart Roasters, which reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by 80% compared to conventional machines. Half of their coffee offerings are Rainforest Alliance certified, and the full menu is organic, sourced from origins including Costa Rica, Ethiopia, and Mexico through importers selected for their integrity. The roastery runs four locations across Milwaukee, including the original Bay View café and a spot inside the Historic Third Ward's Milwaukee Public Market. Anodyne is also part of the FairWave Specialty Coffee Collective, a Midwest collaborative network of specialty roasters.
