This coffee comes from El Filo, one of the oldest farms owned by the Moreno family in Santa Bárbara, Honduras, featuring trees over 20 years old. The farm is located in the mountain range of Santa Bárbara, spanning the villages of Cielito, Cedral, and Las Flores. The coffee is grown in a challenging microclimate close to the jungle, making the drying process particularly demanding. The varieties grown include Pacas (a Bourbon relative), Yellow Catuaí, and Pacamara. This washed coffee is processed with precise control, resulting in unique flavor attributes not found elsewhere in Central America.
