Fieldwork Coffee

About This Coffee

A decaffeinated espresso blend processed using sugarcane ethyl acetate decaffeination. This process ferments molasses from local sugarcane, mixing the resulting ethanol with acetic acid to create ethyl acetate, which extracts caffeine from the raw coffee beans before they are steamed, dried, and readied for export. The coffee features flavor notes of milk chocolate, caramel, candied orange, and toasted almond with almond croissant characteristics. It is a field blend of varieties roasted for espresso.

Fieldwork Coffee

Tim Williams founded this modern Australian micro-roastery in 2015 (originally as Bureaux, rebranded in 2022) with a mission to champion what he believes are the world's best coffees. Fieldwork's philosophy focuses exclusively on washed process coffees, prizing clarity, sweetness, and sense of place across their entire range. Williams' approach emphasizes connecting customers with conscientiously grown, seasonally sourced coffees that speak clearly to their origins, representing the farmers who nurture these exceptional beans.
