Hualalai Estate coffee is grown in North Kona, Hawaii at 1,700 feet elevation in nutrient-rich volcanic soil within a favorable microclimate. Roasted to highlight the unique characteristics of each bean, this coffee features notes of plum, hibiscus, and caramel with a smooth, balanced profile.
Kona Coffee Purveyors was founded in 2008 by Raymond Suiter in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a singular focus on 100 percent Kona coffee sourced from single estate, high elevation farms in the Kona growing region. Suiter, the company's master roaster, built the roastery around a Probat drum roaster with custom piping designed to his specifications. Each lot comes from a named estate, including selections from Hualalai, Mauna Loa, and Konawaena, and is roasted to bring out the character of the volcanic soils and ideal growing conditions that define the region. In 2016, the company partnered with b. patisserie to open a café at the International Marketplace on Kalakaua Avenue, pairing freshly roasted Kona with French pastry.
