This Kenya coffee comes from the Thunguri Wet Mill of the Kibirigwi Farmer Cooperative society, located on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya. The cooperative has been growing coffee since 1953, producing the Thunguri AA grade which is recognized as a prime example of specialty Kenyan coffee. Cherries are selectively hand-picked when ripe and delivered for wet milling on the same day. The parchment undergoes fermentation, washing, and sun drying before being milled and bagged at Sangana coffee mills. The coffee is described as having fruity notes, suitable for filter brewing or experimental espresso preparations.
