This coffee is from the Kamwangi Coffee Factory in Kenya's Kirinyaga district, operated by the New Ngariama Cooperative Society. It is grown on the slopes of Mount Kenya in the Central Province at 1,550-1,650 meters above sea level. Around 500 members deliver coffee to Kamwangi, with each farmer having an average of 3-5 hectares of coffee (around 1,500-2,000 trees). The coffee is primarily SL-28 variety (95%), with about 5% Ruiru 11. It is washed processed and features tasting notes of raspberry, apricot, and brown sugar.
