Olisipo Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This single origin coffee is from the Kintamani district in Bali, Indonesia, produced by the Karana community representing nearly 400 smallholder producers. The farms are situated at 1200 meters altitude across 500 hectares, cultivating S795 and Kartika varieties. Kartika is a natural mutation of the Catuai variety. The coffee is washed processed, with cherries harvested between July to September, then pulped, washed in fermentation tanks, and sun dried in parchment. The coffee is farmed organically but not certified. Producers intercrop fruit and vegetable crops to enhance biodiversity. This coffee offers balance with nougat-like sweetness, white chocolatey body, and hints of dried apricot, with flavor notes of fudge, apricot, and white chocolate.

Olisipo Coffee Roasters

Named after the ancient Roman name for Lisbon, Olisipo Coffee Roasters was founded by Antony Watson and Sofia Gonçalves with a mission to honor their city's history of exploration. They see themselves as modern-day navigators, exploring the world to source unique and high-quality beans from small, independent producers. Their roasting style is dedicated to showcasing the stories and distinct flavors of these origins.
