Katana is a single-origin coffee from the South Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, grown at 1,400–1,800 meters altitude by farmers of Katana village, supported by the RAEK cooperative. The coffee is organically grown and certified by ECOCERT. Varieties include Arabica JBM (Typica) and Bourbon. It is available in two processing methods: Fully Washed (wet fermented, shade dried, sun-dried on beds) and Natural (shade dried, then sun-dried and carefully turned). Flavor notes include raspberry, orange blossom, and floral characteristics.
Founded in Porto in 2016, The Royal Rawness was born from a desire to celebrate coffee in its purest, most unadulterated form. Their philosophy is centered on the "rawness" of the bean, focusing on direct trade and transparent sourcing to get closer to the coffee's origin. They roast with a light touch, aiming to preserve and showcase the bean's inherent quality and noble character.
