About This Coffee

This coffee is a washed microlot from Kenya, produced by the Kangunu Farmer's Co-operative Society in Murang'a County. The coffee grows at 1,600 meters altitude in the red volcanic soils of Mathioya, with ideal climate conditions of 16-26°C and 950mm annual rainfall. The beans are Ruiru 11, SL28, and Batian varieties, processed using traditional wet processing with water recirculation and dried on raised African beds for up to 22 days. The coffee has medium/high acidity, medium body, and tasting notes of pear, white grape, and chamomile with an apple crumble aroma.
