Kenya Karogoto is a filter coffee from the Nyeri region of Kenya, produced at the Karogoto Coffee Factory, operated by the Tekangu Farmers' Cooperative Society. Approximately 1,500 smallholder farmers contribute cherries, growing on small plots with well-drained red volcanic soil. Primary varieties are SL-28 and SL-34, with some Ruiru-11 and Batian also grown. The coffee delivers a fresh and juicy cup with a distinctly fruity character, featuring notes of citrus fruit and blackcurrant.
