Kenya Kii is a fully washed AB-grade coffee from the Kii Factory, one of three washing stations owned and operated by the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS), with over 850 member smallholder farmers. Located at the foot of Mount Kenya, the station was established in 1995. Cherries are selectively hand-picked, visually sorted, depulped, fermented for 16–24 hours, washed in water from the Kii River, and dried on raised beds for approximately 14 days. The AB grade covers screen sizes 15–18 (6–7 mm diameter). The cup profile is juicy with pronounced acidity and distinct fruit notes of blackcurrant and blood orange.
