Wildkaffee

About This Coffee

This specialty coffee is from the Thageini Wet Mill in the Tetu District of Nyeri County, Kenya. The mill is operated by the Aguthi Farmers Cooperative Society and processes coffee cherries from approximately 450 smallholder farmers. Arabica varieties including SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian are cultivated at altitudes between 1,650 and 1,800 meters above sea level. The coffee is processed using the full-washed method, where the outer layers of the cherries are removed before drying. The fertile volcanic soils of the region combined with optimal climatic conditions contribute to the exceptional quality and distinctive taste. The light roast highlights flavor notes of black currant, brown sugar, and cherry.

Wildkaffee
