A washed Kenyan coffee from the Kirinyaga region, grown at 1,550 meters altitude. Produced by the New Ngariama Farmers' Cooperative Society at the Kiamugumo Factory, with approximately 1,500 smallholder members harvesting from October to December. The coffee is a blend of SL-28, SL-34, Batian, and Ruiru 11 cultivars, grown in nutrient-rich volcanic soils. Processed using the traditional Kenyan washed method including a soaking step. Roasted for filter with flavor notes of hibiscus, rooibos tea, and tomato jam, with juicy tartaric acidity and a jammy, creamy finish.
Named after the ancient Roman name for Lisbon, Olisipo Coffee Roasters was founded by Antony Watson and Sofia Gonçalves with a mission to honor their city's history of exploration. They see themselves as modern-day navigators, exploring the world to source unique and high-quality beans from small, independent producers. Their roasting style is dedicated to showcasing the stories and distinct flavors of these origins.
