This is a light and fruity washed single origin from the Acatenango valley of Guatemala. It's got a complex sweetness that's comforting but also clean, tasting like honey baked figs with a bit of citrusy orange at the back. The coffee is processed washed and patio shade dried, made from Centroamericano H1 varietal grown at 1,525-1,625 metres altitude.
Downriver Coffee Roasters is a small batch specialty roastery in Port Glasgow, on the banks of the River Clyde. They roast on a Diedrich IR 2.5 affectionately named Geraldine, treating coffee as fresh seasonal produce and aiming to highlight what makes each lot distinctive. Green beans come through specialty importers who maintain long term, transparent relationships with farmers. The roastery offers tasting experiences throughout the year and handles weekly deliveries to the Glasgow area alongside free local hand delivery across Inverclyde.
