Volcano Coffee Works

About This Coffee

This washed Peruvian coffee from La Libertad in Northern Peru is produced by second-generation farmer David Guevara Armijos from a small farm microlot. The region's high altitude, rich soils, and naturally high humidity create ideal conditions for growing high-quality coffee. After harvesting, the cherries are washed in fresh water, depulped, and fermented overnight for 12-24 hours depending on weather. The coffee is then rinsed and laid out on raised beds before being moved to a lined patio where it dries slowly over 7-10 days. The resulting cup is sweet and silky with notes of vanilla, cranberry, and red grape, featuring a bright fruit-forward profile with a silky mouthfeel.
