This coffee from Colombia's Huila and Nariño regions is a custom blend containing 25% caffeinated coffee and 75% sugarcane decaffeinated coffee. The caffeinated portion comes from The Pickers Project, while the decaf portion is a blend of Castillo, Caturra, Colombia, Caturron, Geisha, Pink Java, and Bourbon varieties grown at 1,400-2,000 meters altitude. Both portions are washed processed, with the decaf undergoing sugarcane decaffeination. The coffee features soft fruit and chocolate notes with medium body and brightness, roasted to a medium level.
Stone Creek Coffee was founded in 1993 in Whitefish Bay (Greater Milwaukee) by Eric Resch, who opened the first community-focused café and built the brand around craft coffee and local engagement. They roast in small batches with a farm-to-cup ethic—emphasizing origin clarity, regular cupping, staff education and origin trips, and worker-forward governance (employee-ownership and B Corp certification in 2022)—aiming to highlight terroir and community impact rather than flashy roast tricks.
