A single-origin Maragogipe variety coffee from Fazenda Santa Mônica 2, located in Cássia, Alta Mogiana, Minas Gerais, Brazil, at 1160 meters above sea level. Produced by Jean Vilhena Faleiros, the Maragogipe — also known as "elephant coffee beans" — is believed to be a spontaneous mutation of the Typica variety originating in Maragogipe, Bahia. Lightly roasted with flavor notes of red fruit jam, jabuticaba, and tamarind.
