A blend of 100% Arabica coffees from Central and South America, combining both washed and natural processed beans. The washed process retains fruit-like flavors from high-grown mountain coffees cultivated in volcanic soils. The natural process allows sugars and oils from the coffee cherries to penetrate the beans during drying, adding sweetness and body. Features red fruit and sweet honey flavors with rich chocolate notes and a smooth, medium body. Includes Bourbon, Mundo Novo, Catuai, and Caturra varieties.
Grain & Grind opened its first coffee shop at the start of 2018 beneath the old Victoria Infirmary buildings on Battlefield Road in Glasgow. A roaster was installed in that original shop and later relocated to Inverness, where master roaster John now hand roasts in small batches across a range of over twenty offerings. The company has grown to eight café locations spread between Glasgow and Inverness. They also run a wholesale supply business providing beans, brew bags, and equipment to cafés, restaurants, and hotels, partnering with San Remo for espresso machines and Mahlkönig for grinders.
