About This Coffee

This blend combines Colombian Yellow Caturra grown by single producer Esnaider Ortega and his family in Huila, Colombia at 1750 meters altitude with Rwandan Red Bourbon from micro farms at the Fuji Washing Station in Nyaruguru District, Southern Province at 1500-1850 meters altitude. Both components are washed using methods unique to each farm and processing station. The Colombian component receives a light roast while the Rwandan component gets a medium roast. Tasting notes include lemon chocolate poundcake.

The Artery Community Roasters

The Artery Community Roasters is a social enterprise based in Ottawa, Ontario, employing people living with disabilities at living wages. They roast in small batches on a Coffee Crafters Artisan XL with a capacity of up to 10 pounds per roast, and ship within one week of roasting. Sourcing is done on a direct trade basis, maintaining one to two degrees of separation from the farmers. The Artery was named Coffee Roaster of the Month by Commonly Coffee.
