About This Coffee

This is a single origin coffee from Guatemala, specifically from the La Bendición farm in Sansare, department of El Progreso. The farm is situated at 1900-2100masl in a sub-tropical rainforest climate with volcanic pumice and clay soil. It is owned by José Gómez and operated by his son. The coffee is processed at Beneficio La Esperanza using washed processing, where cherries are depulped, fermented for 12-36 hours, washed, and sun-dried on concrete patios for 10-21 days before being finished in mechanical dryers. The coffee has butterscotch and caramel flavor notes with a full body, making it suitable for espresso-based drinks with milk and rich cafetiere brewing.
