Single-origin Costa Rican coffee from Tarrazú, Los Santos region, grown at 1200 meters altitude. The variety is Catuai, processed using washed and anaerobic methods. This medium-dark roast delivers dark fudge, cinnamon, and black sugar liqueur notes with a full, cocoa-like body.
Stephanie Welter Krause founded Swelter Coffee Roasters in 2020, originally based in El Cerrito, California, before relocating operations to Tailwind Roasting, a co roastery facility in Chicago. Swelter sources coffee that is women produced or women led throughout the supply chain, working with suppliers including Artisan Coffee Imports, Mighty Peace Coffee, Bean Voyage, and a family farm called Santa Marta in Guatemala. All coffee is roasted to order in small batches to minimize waste. The business is woman owned and operates under the principle of coffee by women, for everyone.
