This coffee is from the Tenejapa region in the Central Highlands of Chiapas, Mexico, grown at altitudes between 1100-1550 meters. Produced by the Kulaktik cooperative, which consists of over 150 smallholder coffee growers, mostly of indigenous Mayan Tzeltal culture. The coffee is USDA Organic certified and processed using the washed method. Varieties include Typica, Bourbon, and Caturra. This medium to dark roast features flavor notes of milk chocolate, plum, honey, grapefruit, hazelnut, and florals, with medium citrus acidity, a juicy mouthfeel, and medium body. SCA Cupping Score: 85.00. The Tzeltal word "Kulaktik" means "vine".
