This is a single farmer lot from Mohammed Abu Nura's 35.7 hectare farm located in the Omafuntulay Kebele of Jimma in the Agaro region of Ethiopia. The coffee is grown at a staggering 2,000-2,100 meters altitude and dried on raised beds for roughly 20 days using natural processing. Mohammed grows the Gibirinna 74110 variety, which originated from the Metu Bishari selections made in the forest in the Illubabor Zone by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center in 1974. This variety was selected for resistance to Coffee Berry Disease and is now one of the most propagated varieties in Ethiopia. The coffee presents sweet and fruity tasting notes.
