About This Coffee

This coffee is grown in the Uraga district of the Guji zone in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. It is produced by 130 smallholder farmers in the village of Muda. The coffee is a natural process blend of Typica and Bourbon varieties. It is dried using a specific 'Five-Seven-Eleven' method on raised beds, resulting in a pure, full-bodied cup. Deppe & Co

Deppe & Co is a specialty roastery in Bielefeld, Germany, founded in 2003 by Axel Deppe under the original name The Coffee Store, inspired by the American coffee shop model. After 20 years the business rebranded in 2023 as Deppe & Co, with the Co standing for the barista team behind the counter. The roastery sources through direct trade and through importers who maintain close ties to the farmers, tracing lots down to the individual field where possible, from origins including Brazil, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Vietnam. Product listings carry varietal, altitude, processing method and producer name, as seen with the Mundo Novo from Marco A. Guardbaxo's farm in Mococa, Brazil at 810 to 950 metres. Deppe & Co roasts several times a week on site and runs three several across Bielefeld and Paderborn.
