This Ethiopian coffee is from the Yirgacheffe region, specifically the Worka Chelbesa area in the Gedeb district of Gedeo zone. It is processed using the red honey method. The coffee comes from heirloom varieties grown by 476 smallholder farmers who deliver cherries to the SNAP Specialty Coffee wet mill built in 2019 in Danche within Chelbesa Village. The area features dense layered semi-forest vegetation with false banana trees and shade-grown coffee trees. The soil is red-brown type, particularly fertile and rich in iron with high acidity content. The wet mill uses ceramic fermentation tanks designed to bring clarity to the coffee and optimize fermentation. Flavor notes include strawberry, lychee, jasmine, honey, and Turkish delight.
