Obsidian is an organic blend composed of 80% Arabica and 20% Robusta, combining coffees from Brazil, India, and Honduras. The Brazilian beans provide body and chocolatey roundness, Indian Robusta adds crema and a hint of spice, while Honduran Arabica brings brightness and a gentle fruit note. Hand-roasted in Geneva, this dark roast delivers bold flavors of dark chocolate, rum-soaked cake, and delicate smokiness. It is full-bodied with low acidity and performs beautifully in espresso, moka pots, and milk-based drinks.
As one of the pioneers of specialty coffee in Geneva, Boréal was founded in 2009 with a mission to bring high-quality, ethical coffee to the community. They focus on creating welcoming cafe spaces and fostering a culture around their coffee. Their roasting philosophy is to provide consistent, delicious, and responsibly sourced beans.
