This flagship espresso blend from Sightglass Coffee delivers consistent balance and depth, crafted from seasonally sourced coffees. The blend originates from Central America and East Africa, featuring various washed coffees grown at varying altitudes. It is USDA certified organic. Roasted to a medium level, it offers flavor notes of cacao nib, stone fruit, and candied orange peel. This is the same coffee used in all espresso beverages at Sightglass cafes.
Brothers Jerad and Justin Morrison founded Sightglass Coffee in San Francisco in 2009, starting from a kiosk inside a 1924 warehouse in SoMa. The name comes from the viewing window on their vintage Probat roaster, a detail that captures the company's commitment to transparency at every stage of the process. Sightglass holds USDA organic certification through CCOF and sources most of its annual coffee from small farms following ecologically responsible practices. The Morrison brothers stepped down from leadership in 2024 after fifteen years, but the roasting philosophy they established, pairing mid century Probat equipment with careful, origin focused profiles, continues to define the operation.
