This coffee is from Finca Deborah in Volcán, Chiriquí, Panama, produced by Jamison Savage at 1950 meters altitude. The variety is Geisha, processed using the washed method. Harvested in 2024, this medium light roast features flavor notes of bergamot, jasmine, juicy peach, and Ceylon black tea. Finca Deborah is one of the highest and most remote shade-grown coffee farms in the world, shrouded in rainforest with volcanic, highly organic, nutrient-rich soils ideal for extreme elevation coffee production.
Founded in 2011 by Birdie Chiu, whose decade of I.T. experience brought an eye for practicality and problem-solving to specialty coffee, Hazel & Hershey operates under a 'bean to cup' philosophy. Named after Chiu's two daughters, the roastery has evolved from equipment distribution into a comprehensive coffee company offering thoughtfully sourced beans, innovative products, and all-embracing services that elevate coffee beyond commodity status.
