He co founded the roastery with Michael, a long time coffee professional. They roast on a traditional Probat drum roaster at their facility in Peffermill, focusing on quality over volume. The café on Marchmont Road, opposite The Meadows, seats around 50 guests. Machina also offers a white label roasting service for hospitality businesses and runs a wholesale delivery and tub collection scheme to reduce single use packaging.
