A light roast coffee from Peru, sourced from two possible co-ops. The Quellouno region coffee features Caturra, Bourbon, and Typica varieties grown at 1,200-1,800 meters. Alternatively, the Cajamarca region coffee includes Catimor, Caturra, Mundo Novo, and Typica varieties grown at 1,500-1,750 meters. Both options are Fair Trade and Organic certified, processed using the washed method. The coffee is light and complex with flavor notes of raisin, plum, and wine, cultivated in the fertile, rich soil and high altitude of the Andes Mountains.

Douglas Pinto and his wife Daria founded Steel Cup Coffee Roasters as a family business in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. The roastery sources exclusively Fair Trade and USDA Certified Organic coffees from ethical cooperatives around the world, and their facility holds Pennsylvania Certified Organic status. All coffee is roasted in small batches on a roaster imported from Türkiye and packaged to order, with eco friendly compostable bags and only USDA approved organic cleaning products used throughout the facility. Steel Cup is a roastery where the values are baked into the operation rather than bolted on.
