Dear Green Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

Montaña is an organic regional blend from San Ignacio in the Cajamarca department of Peru, located in the Andes mountain range. The coffee is produced by small-scale farmers in the Chanchamayo coffee belt on nutrient-rich volcanic soil. Made primarily of Catimor, Pache, and Typica varieties grown at elevations between 1,400 and 1,700 meters. The cherries are harvested following strict ripeness criteria, floated, and hand-sorted. After de-pulping, the coffee undergoes 20 to 30 hours of fermentation, then is gently washed and dried in shaded areas for 15 to 20 days. Known for high sweetness and full-bodied flavor.

Dear Green Coffee Roasters

Dear Green Coffee Roasters was founded in 2011 in Glasgow, Scotland, by Lisa Lawson after a formative period working at Toby's Estate in Australia. The company is named after Glasgow's historic Gaelic nickname, "the dear green place," and sources exclusively specialty grade coffee through trusted importers and direct producer relationships, with Lawson personally visiting farms to verify ethical practices. Dear Green employs in house Q Graders to maintain strict quality control, only releasing coffees that meet its sensory standards. The roastery holds Certified B Corp status and prioritizes traceability, organic certification where possible, and sourcing from women producers.
