This coffee originates from Planadas in the Tolima region of Colombia, grown by 1,042 smallholder organic farmers at elevations between 1,600 and 2,000 meters. The varieties include Colombia, Castillo, and Caturra, all cultivated organically. The coffee undergoes a washed process where hand-picked cherries are de-pulped, fermented, washed clean, and slow-dried in parabolic greenhouses for up to 18 days. Produced through Asociación de Productores Ecológicos de Planadas (ASOPEP), this coffee features flavor notes of blackberries, apple, and milk chocolate, with a balance of deep fruit character and bright acidity.
