This is a single origin coffee from Nicaragua. The coffee is roasted to provide sustained energy throughout the day. Named after the roaster's daughter, this roast is dedicated to working mothers.
Paul Lovegreen founded Tunnel City Coffee in 1992 in Williamstown, Massachusetts, originally under the name Cold Spring Coffee Roasters. The roastery was renamed in 2004 after the nearby Hoosac Tunnel, a local landmark. In May 2024, after 32 years, Lovegreen passed ownership to Jamal Stockton, Janine McCarl, and Nilaykumar Patel. Production runs on a Diedrich IR12 at the Norad Mill facility in North Adams, where beans are roasted fresh daily in small batches. Sourcing focuses on coffees from Colombia and Nicaragua, with the new ownership pursuing additional direct farm relationships and expanded sustainability efforts.
