Blueprint Coffee

About This Coffee

Raro Nansebo is a single origin coffee from the Raro Nansebo area in the Uraga district of the Guji zone in southern Ethiopia. This coffee is sourced from Ture Waji's Sookoo Coffee, which operates in the Uraga and Shakiso districts. The coffee is processed using anaerobic natural processing, where cherries ferment in sealed plastic barrels for 72 hours before being dried on raised beds for 3-4 weeks. The coffee trees in this region are young, most less than six years old, growing at high altitudes in areas previously used for livestock grazing. This method produces a coffee with full, silky body and intense jammy sweetness. Tasting notes include blueberry, pineapple, vanilla, and cranberry.

Blueprint Coffee

Blueprint Coffee was founded in 2013 by Mike Marquard, Mazi Razani, Kevin Reddy, Andrew Timko, Brian Levine, and Nora Brady in St. Louis, Missouri. The roastery moved into a dedicated HQ on 39th Street in April 2024, with capacity for 2,500 pounds per week and climate controlled storage for 35,000 pounds of green beans. The team sources from eight to ten countries annually, prioritising long term partnerships and fair pricing over chasing the highest cup scores, and pays farmers above market price. Four café locations across St. Louis serve the retail side, while wholesale orders are roasted Monday through Thursday and typically shipped within three days, often the same day. Blueprint's sourcing model focuses on creating a mutually beneficial loop among producers, staff, wholesale partners, and customers.
