North Andes Coffee

North Andes Coffee is a specialty roastery in Berlin, founded in 2018 by Rodrigo Castillo, a Colombian business graduate who moved to Germany to bring his country's coffee directly to the European consumer. The name references the northern Andes mountain regions where Castillo's sourcing is concentrated, and every coffee in the range comes exclusively from Colombia. Through personal connections built over years, he works directly with farmers across Cundinamarca, Tolima, Huila, Sierra Nevada, Santander and Magdalena, offering varietals such as Caturra, Pink Bourbon and Geisha with processing methods that include a 400 hour fermentation on the Tolima lot. Castillo learned to roast under Stefan Bracht and opened his own roastery in early 2024 after running two Berlin locations in Prenzlauer Berg and Weissensee. The online shop ships across Germany with beans available as whole bean or ground for various brew methods.
